How to Choose The Correct Fertiliser For Your Garden

August 14, 2015

Feeding your garden in this drought seems ludicrous, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. Like the way they say, in bad economic times you should advertise more vigorously than ever.

At times like this it is very necessary to get nutrients into our gardens, so as to alleviate some of the stress our plants are undergoing trying to cope.

We are very spoilt for choice these days when it comes to feeding our gardens. In times of plentiful rain and no water restrictions, a chemical fertiliser (of which there are many) may be applied and watered in. This being very important.

However, in our circumstances, Eco Balance chooses an organic fertilizer which doesn’t need to be watered in. It can be applied with the assurance that it will not burn any plants or lawns even though we can’t water it in. We apply this organic fertilizer onto lawns and into garden beds which can be worked into the soil or left on top. It will gradually break down and be consumed by the plants. So when rain comes, this process is hastened. The plants will show their gratitude by surviving and thriving, giving you a fantastic looking garden come springtime!
