ECO BALANCE LANDSCAPING WINS NATIONAL LANDSCAPING AWARDS
Great excitement abounded at local company Eco Balance Landscaping’s offices recently as they were congratulated by The South African Landscaping Institute (SALI) on winning awards for all 4 of their entries into the SALI Awards of Excellence competition.
The company won a Gold award in the Landscape and Turf Maintenance category for 1 Kiribati, Zimbali. This was 1 of only 5 Gold awards in KZN. They won a Silver award in the category Landscape and Turf Maintenance for Pigeonwood Road, Simbith. Another Silver award was won in the Landscape and Turf Maintenance category for their work at Ballito Gardens Estate, and then a third Silver award was won in the category Best Landscape Construction with Design By Others , for Emboya Close in Zimbali.
The SALI Awards of Excellence encourage emerging trends and a move towards a more sustainable approach. The institute has grown consistently year by year and remains the only standards body, national representative and voice for landscaping professionals in South Africa.
The gardens of all entries into the competition are inspected by panels of independent judges and the process is quite rigorous, with extensive criteria to meet. There are 2 rounds of judging, on a provincial level and then on a national level. Getting through both rounds and then winning awards for all 4 entries thus makes this a most prestigious achievement.
The final results of the Awards were announced at the annual SALI industry convention held in June.
Eco Balance Landscaping have been active participants in landscaping and maintaining gardens on the North Coast for over 10 years and attribute their success largely to the people involved. “Staff and clients have been our inspiration, support and encouragement.
